At The LGBTQ Center, we believe everyone deserves to show up as their most authentic self. That’s why we created the Nikki Woods Switch Closet — a comprehensive styling boutique offering clothing, accessories, and affirming styling support for our trans and gender diverse community.
Whether you’re exploring your gender expression, preparing for a job interview, or simply wanting to feel more comfortable in your skin, The Nikki Woods Switch Closet is here to help.
Our goal is simple: to provide access to clothing that fits both your body and your identity, in a safe and welcoming space.
How to Access the Closet
The Switch Closet offers two ways to shop:
- Appointments (Thursdays, 10 AM – 6 PM): Meet with our stylist for a personalized session designed to help you find looks that reflect who you are.
- Walk-In Hours (Fridays, 12–2 PM & 3–6 PM): Stop by and browse during open hours, no appointment necessary.
- Youth & Family Day (Tuesdays, 4:30–7 PM): Dedicated walk-in time for ages 13–18.
Please note: the closet is closed on Mondays and weekends, with Wednesdays reserved for donation processing.

Donations: How to Support the Switch Closet
The Switch Closet depends on community generosity. Clothing donations not only provide practical support, they help affirm identity and dignity for trans and gender diverse people who may not have access to safe or affirming retail options.
We accept a wide range of gently used, affirming clothing and accessories — but some items are especially in high demand. See our current donation needs and guidelines here:

Why It Matters
Gender-affirming clothing can be life-changing.
For trans youth, it can mean confidence at school. For adults, it can mean walking into a job interview as their authentic selves. For everyone, it means knowing they are seen, supported, and celebrated.
The Nikki Woods Switch Closet is managed by our Inclusive Programs team, with appointments overseen by our stylist and supported by dedicated volunteers.
Thank you for helping us build a future where every person can express who they are, proudly and unapologetically.
