The NV Energy Foundation and its employees prioritized energy assistance, sustainability and diversity, equity and inclusion in 2021 by giving $5,390,779 to support nonprofit organizations statewide. This total is made up of both financial and in-kind donations, including over 15,000 employee volunteer hours. The NV Energy Foundation is funded by NV Energy, not its customers.
The Center was a recipient of one of the grants and thanks the NV Energy Foundation for their support of the LGBTQIA+ community and helping The Center serve as a haven for all, celebrating the diversity of our communities and striving to empower all to live authentic lives.
“We were proud to partner with more than 250 nonprofit organizations throughout Nevada last year to make a positive impact on our customers and our communities,” said Tony Sanchez, NV Energy Executive Vice President of Business Development and External Relations. “Our energy assistance programs and environmental support received particular attention as we work to support our state’s economic recovery and enhance natural disaster protection.”
The NV Energy Foundation annually addresses key community needs in the areas of safety and wellness, environmental and community enhancement, education (STEM) and arts and culture, while prioritizing diverse and historically underrepresented communities.
