Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak toured The LGBTQ Center of Southern Nevada today and presented The Center with a proclamation for Transgender Day of Visibility (TDoV).
The tour included the Arlene Cooper Community Health Center. The Center recently launched a Federal pharmaceutical program that provides community members greater access to medications prescribed by its nurse practitioners in the Arlene Cooper Community Health Center.
Transgender Day of Visibility celebrates the resilience and success of transgender and gender-nonconforming people and raises awareness of transgender rights. TDoV is nationally recognized on March 31 and was founded in 2009 by activist Rachel Crandall.
