The LGBTQ Community Center of Southern Nevada is announcing our reopening tomorrow, June 8th. Our operating hours for programming will be 10:00 – 7:00 PM, with limited hours on Saturday from 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM. The Wellness Clinic will reopen on June 29th, and we will make announcements regarding its safe reopening as the day draws closer. We have been preparing for opening The Center in a manner that ensures the safety of our community, volunteers, and staff. The entire staff met Friday to make final preparations for opening and we are excited to see everyone as we work together to maintain the safety of our community.

The Center will remain a place of safety, welcoming, and empowerment for everyone who is marginalized and victim to those who hate us for our sexual orientation, gender identity, or the color of one’s skin. We proudly stand with the Black Lives Matter movement in our outrage, our support, and our demand that the institutions of our country that allow for privilege, supremacy. racism, homophobia, transphobia, and violence toward anyone simply for who they are, be confronted openly and honestly so that real change can begin.

Cox Las Vegas has distributed $35,000 in diversity scholarships to 10 college-bound, high school seniors as part of its annual Cox Diversity Scholarship program in partnership with the Public Education Foundation and Southern Nevada-based diverse organizations.

The LGBTQ+ Community Center of Southern Nevada (The Center) announces the release of its new Center Advocacy Network 24/7 Victim Hotline, a resource for all victims of crime. Staffed 24/7 with an army of CAN trained and certified volunteer advocates, the hotline assists victims of crime in obtaining resources and services.
