A message from The Center: Mourning George Floyd

The Center will remain a place of safety, welcoming, and empowerment for everyone who is marginalized and victim to those who hate us for our sexual orientation, gender identity, or the color of one’s skin. We proudly stand with the Black Lives Matter movement in our outrage, our support, and our demand that the institutions of our country that allow for privilege, supremacy. racism, homophobia, transphobia, and violence toward anyone simply for who they are, be confronted openly and honestly so that real change can begin.

Arson at The Center

On June 27th, an individual attempted to set fire to The Center. They were unsuccessful and no damage was done to the building. As we enter the final week of Pride Month, and major celebrations take place around the world, this attempted arson and hate crime against our community reinforce the need for LGBTQ+ Pride events. Our equality, rights, and our lives remain at risk. We are glad that our building is safe. To everyone around the world attending Pride events this weekend, let this be a reminder of why you are celebrating and why our fight for equality continues.
